SCHOOL!

I'm skipping to the middle in order to start with my middle child who never seems to get to go first.  If we go oldest to youngest or youngest to oldest she's always in the....middle.    School started on a Monday but for a couple different reasons Kindergarteners don't start until later in the week.  So we're starting with Thursday because a brand new Kindergartener deserves to be in the spotlight.  Annabelle was very excited to start school!

We kept up our tradition of me walking the girls to school on the first day.

Now, let's back up to Monday when our third grader started.  She's already half way through elementary school.
Can't believe it.

Natalie wanted to join us wearing her piggie jammies.

Annabelle heading back home to wait a few more days.

Part of the delay for the Kindergarteners is that their teacher spends the first couple days of school doing home visits.  They bring each student a book and then visit for a few minutes.  Annabelle's teacher is just as sweet and nice as can be.  I've really been impressed with the transition process for starting school.
Annabelle had fun getting the living room set up just the way she wanted it before her teacher came.  We won't mention that Natalie kept messing it up just to bug her.  Annabelle put this ottoman in the middle of the room with a box of chocolates on it and a card she made.  She had it all planned out that we could all just reach and grab a chocolate whenever we wanted during the visit.
