Fresh Eggs

We took the girls to gather eggs at a friend's house who raises chickens and sells eggs.  It's important for these modern city girls to know where food comes from.  I remember when Annabelle was suprised to learn that bacon comes from a pig.  That reminds me of a joke of sorts: 
What's the difference between being involved and being committed?
 Answer: 
The chicken was involved in breakfast. 
The pig was committed.
