Christmas 2012

This was one of my least stressful Christmas seasons.  I let go of perfection and let myself enjoy it.  I'm not really sure what I did differently.  I just hope I can do it again next year.
Sometime during the Christmas season I noticed that one of the girls had put this Little People toy next to our Christmas smoker.  He looks shocked that a non-Christmas toy is invading his space. :)

We host Christmas Eve at our house every year except the couple times we've been out of town to Ben's parents.  This year no one came in from out of state but we are blessed to have family living nearby.

Katie had a present that she really wanted me to open on Christmas Eve.  She made a coloring book of "The Night Before Christmas."  It was really extensive and took a long time for her to make. I memorized that poem as a child and she has about half of it memorized.  We agreed that next year we will recite it together.  I really love this picture of Katie and me.  People always say she looks like Ben but I see some resemblance of me here.  What do you think?

Christmas morning.
We had to wake up Natalie as usual.  She was very sad that she didn't see Santa come.  We had to explain to her that none of us saw him.  He's really sneaky.
She felt better after seeing that he ate the cookies she left.

Later on Christmas Day we went to my parents' house where Annabelle turned into Rudolph.

Sure hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas season!
