Ice Ice Baby
Earlier this week we had an ice storm that coated everything with sparkly wonder. It was really very beautiful and fortunately didn't turn out to be as dangerous as everyone was expecting. Three days later everything is still coated but it is slowly melting away.
The tree in our neighbor's yard directly behind us provides wonderful shade in the summer. However, when those shady branches get coated in ice they come tumbling down. All day we heard small pieces of tree and ice falling down on our roof or in the yard. I was nervous that something would come crashing through the window. Fortunately that never happened, especially when this big one fell down.

This is one person who didn't mind the ice. She's always ready to go out and play.
Video #1 is a flashback to when Katie was a little over a year old. Video #2 is from earlier this week. If you wonder from which side of the family Katie inherits her tolerance to the cold just check out Video #3.
