| Natalie had a bladder/kidney infection and was in the hospital for about 24 hours. She hasn't been hospitalized for two years because we just give her antibiotics at home when she gets an infection. This time, her fever kept going up really high so they wanted to put her on IV antibiotics. Fortunately, we were able to stay in our little hospital here in town instead of driving up to the big one an hour away. |

| Once the medicine kicked in she felt a lot better and actually really enjoyed herself. She got to watch shows and play computer games and eat snacks. |

The girls brought her a smiley face balloon with bandaids all over it. She hung on to that thing and didn't let go until we brought it home and it got popped on the ceiling fan. :(
Annabelle wanted to climb in bed with Natalie and said she wished she was the one that got to be in the hospital. I told her that Natalie had to get poked and she quickly said, "Never mind!" |
Natalie has her yearly urology appointment next month so we'll have a better idea of what's going on. Thankfully, she hasn't had as many infections recently and this was by far the least stressful hospital experience we've had with her.
