Ben's Dad was diagnosed with cancer last summer and passed away just before Thanksgiving.
It's still hard to imagine that he's really gone.
He was such a good man who was a great influence on so many people.
He loved the Lord.
He loved his family.
He worked hard and knew how to take time to play.
He was a hero to his grandchildren.
He loved Disney Land,
playing Rook, and
taking pictures of his family
(he was always scoping out a good photo op).
This slideshow is mostly pictures of him with our three girls.
I love to see the joy on his face when he is with them.
I posted this video a few years ago.
It expresses so well the mix of pain and hope
we feel when mortality separates us from someone we love.
