Annabelle meets the sump pump. No, I was not around when these pictures were being taken. Yes, she seems to be chewing on a piece of pipe sticking out of our house. Why do we have that pipe sticking out of our house? So that when it rains, all the drain water can be pumped out into the backyard instead of flooding our basement. We actually just had a battery operated back up sump pump installed because we know of too many horror stories of flooding basements (yes, we are thinking of you, Zauggs). Our sump pump goes into action every time it rains so it's not unreasonable to be concerned about flooding.

i love katie hanging, that is so cute!
For some reason, when I see the photo of Katie hanging there, it reminds me of Anne Shirley walking on the roof of her school. Although I don't think she actually hung from that, did she? Maybe I am confusing it with when the boat fills up with water and Gilbert rescues her 'cuz she's hanging on to the post...
Either way, maybe she just has that same spunkiness!
