Here's Ben with his biker chicks. Both girls love going for rides with him. He's started biking to and from work most days and when he comes home the girls are anxious for a ride around the neighborhood. Often on the weekend Ben will ride downtown with Katie to get an icecream cone from what she calls "the icecream store." She always gets pink icecream. Ben figures the icecream and the bike ride pretty much cancel each other out, especially since it's uphill on the way home.

I think it is awesome that they all ride. I am not brave enough - probably not strong enough either!
I love their helmets. Is Ben going to get one of those pull behind trailers to take both girls together?
i don't know about the trailer thing--so far it has worked out to just take turns. Ben will often do his trip downtown with Katie while Annabelle is napping. Katie will sometimes ride her bike around in front of our house while Annabelle is on the back of Ben's bike. To go anywhere outside the neighborhood he has to ride on Mulberry w/o a shoulder and i think a trailer could be kind of wide there.
wow, a bike ride trip to the ice cream store with dad...what better childhood memories? Just tell ben that if he has concerns about calories cancelling each other out. How long is the ride from home to work? That is really cool that that is an option for him.
actually, ben sees it as a good thing that they cancel each other out--like, he's earned the icecream because he knows he's going to burn it off. it takes about 20 minutes for him to get to work, maybe a little longer coming home because there are some hills.
