Katie enjoys baking in the kitchen--especially the tasting part. She has an Eric Carle book about pancakes (you can see it in the picture) that she likes to look at when we make pancakes to help her know what to do. Today she and Ben made chocolate chip cookies. They turned out a little softer than his cookie bars from a couple weeks ago.

that's a link to the book on amazon. we don't actually use the "recipe" in the book--i don't think it's meant for real cooking, it's a story book about a boy who wants a pancake for breakfast. She just likes to use it as "her" recipe since we use most of the same ingredients.
