that little pink square is a piece of silk that my Mom made for me. it's supposed to help prevent the bald spot on the back of babies heads. Natalie's is quite prominent so I was trying to help it grow back in. i'm not sure i've noticed it helping much but then i don't have her lay on it all the time.
